    Up Late with My TV…

And after this, I’m going to bed… But I don’t know, I was just pondering the power of FICTION. See, I’ve just finished watching four episodes back to back of Sex and the City on Lifestyle TV. I love that channel BTW.  And when the last episode ended, I found myself wishing I had thought to buy the complete series box-set on Amazon.com! Because I didn’t want to leave Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha. I find myself wanting to live in THEIR world, with friends like that. I can just say anything to them and they accept me for who I am and vice versa. But really? Is that the…

A Single Writer in… San Diego???? (coming to this blog real soon)

Today, I updated my mother on my future plans. Yes, I’m getting the H-E-Double Hockey Sticks out of dodge. I was going to wait until the lease is up in February of next year but I simply can’t last that long. I’ll put it this way… Last month, I was home back at my old Coffee Bean in Marina Del Rey, basking in the past… and the sun too. And this chick takes a seat behind me with her boyfriend (I have to assume that’s who he was). She was on her cellphone having this whole LOUD conversation in which she mentioned  some kind of personality issues the guy that…

Oh What A Day Away Can Do…

A day away from the story that is… Today, I didn’t write. I woke up WAY too late… that is 11:00AM and walked up Bell Street to Yoga before 12:00PM. Yeah, I struggled, hot room yoga on a stomach that’s empty at noon is not smart. So, while engaging in my practice book six of Parched just kept yarning itself in my head. I’d look up at the ceiling and corpse pose and all I could see is where I last left my characters and what they’re experiencing. But here’s what I recognized–my inner-storyteller wanted me to step away from the manuscript (I’ll call it that, even if it’s not…

If You’ve Just Finished Parched, book 1….

Then know this… Of course that’s not the end of Clarity and Baron! The FUN is reading how they get back together (wink)… The continued fun is watching them STAY together… Of course their story continues in book 3, and then in book 5, but don’t skip book two to get there. Book two is short, about 130 pages and all of the main characters in that book will be in book 3. Plus book two is free! Oh, and if you’ve read book 2 first, then, ABSOLUTELY, Zill, Vayle and Derek’s stories do continue in book 3 and 5 too! But you have to read book 4 before going…

If “The Seventh Sister” Is The First Book You Read In the Parched Series, Then…

You should make sure you read the description. It’s in the Note From The Author section on Amazon and reads like this: This book in the Parched novel series is shorter than average to deal with the limitations of writing in the first person point of view (or POV). Parched Book One, and most of the series is told in Clarity’s POV but as the saga continues to unfold other sisters will be introduced, and their lives are interesting as well! After completing Book 1, I knew it was time to introduce Zillael, who in my head had this entire backstory. She is falling for two supernatural creatures and how…
