Yay! It’s Talk Back Tuesday Again…

I promise I’m starting to love this day. And I love it when someone responds! Love, love, love it!

Anyway, so here’s today’s question:

What’s your favorite romance read of all time? And please, no pressure to say any of my books! LOL! Like, zero pressure.

My favorite is ‘Thorn Birds” by Colleen McCullough. I love the preamble–it goes like this:

There is a  legend about a bird which sings just once in its life, more sweetly than any other creature on the face of the earth. From the moment it leaves the nest it searches for a thorn tree, and does not rest until it has found one. Then, singing among the savage branches, it impales itself upon the longest, sharpest spine. And, dying, it rises above its own agony to out-carol the lark and the nightingale. One superlative song, existence the price. But the whole world stills to listen, and God in His heaven smiles. For the best is only bought with the cost of great pain… Or so says the legend.

I mean… what a beautiful and tragic opening, and the entire book is written in the same way! It really is a story for all of us who love to be moved to tears while our hearts soar with passion.

Okay, now!

Love in the USA!!! Nothing else has caught my attention like this series.

Ahh… Be still my  heart <3
