Sunday, July 15th Author Update!

Well, I would’ve loved to have completed the first draft of Once Upon An Unrequited Love by now, but I haven’t. I have four parts planned, and I’m at the beginning of part two, which will be the bulkiest part of the story. I actually deleted 2000 words yesterday because my goal is to constantly challenge myself.

That means writing the difficult interaction and remembering to make the story character driven.

I’m also, as I had in Once Upon A One-Night Stand for sure, using dual POV sparingly. When it’s time to get into Max’s POV it will be at the right moments.

I have the entire story mapped out though. So I know how it will end.

The good news is that I don’t foresee myself delaying the release date. I’ll be sticking to September 27th.

I want to write a Christmas romance book this year too.

While writing this book, I’m rediscovering my love for writing my brand of romance. And it’s okay to write my brand. All I have to do is stick to it! LOL!

Consistency, Lady! Jeez.

🙂

Anyway, I just wanted you to know that I’m plugging away at my next new release. When it’s over, I’ll be done with the Groves and Lords, so I want to end with a BANG. That means, carefully crafting a superior story – no shortcuts or lazy writing. And I will DEFINITELY not rush the story.

Okay, I’ll let you know when I’m finished with part two, and how I feel it went. I want to make sure I remember that I’m writing human beings here. And I know a lot of people read romance to escape but we all know that’s not what I do. My brand is giving the reader an experience – to put you in my characters’ shoes and take you for a ride.

Until next time!

Toodles!
Z
