Still In Love With Her (Maggie & Vince, Book ONE) Update – 8/26/2014

Greetings! I’m a wee bit behind on this update but rest assured that Still In Love With Her (Maggie & Vince, Book ONE) is halfway through the editing process. The manuscript will pass through to proofreads and then the final read through before it goes live. The official release date is 9/12/2014, however I plan to have it available before then. Here’s the final description: Maggie Conroy loves her job, possibly more than she loves her boyfriend and boss, Vincent Adams. At least that’s what he thinks. That’s why he takes desperate measures in order to get her to pay attention to their relationship, but will his efforts backfire? Perhaps…

A Glass of Red Wine To Celebrate! “Steal With A Kiss” A Parched Novel

Because I am only three thousand words away from being 30k words into “Steal With A Kiss” A Parched Novel! You know what happens after I reach 30k words right? I go back to the beginning and solidify my foundation. By Monday, I’ll be at that point, since I’m cranking out 3k words a day on this story! About 2k on the other one–which is still a surprise. 😉 Excuse me. I’ve already drank the contents of mie bicchiere (my glass). This means, there’s no way I’ll be able to work on the other story tonight. I think. Anyway… I can’t believe I’m pumping out stories like this! Something happened…

And It’s Off! Find Her, Keep Her…

A huge sigh of relief! I’ve finished WAY early, and I just didn’t finish but I polished it – finished it. The manuscript is off to the first editor.  The story is EXACTLY how I want it, and I’m SO excited to get it out there – you don’t understand. We’re going to follow the couple you meet in this book as far as we can through life in future books – not all them but just the ones that feature a protagonist that’s somehow connected to Daisy and/or Belmont.  For instance, in “There’s Something About Her: A Manhattan L.O.V.E Story,” Magnolia, the main character, is Belmont and Charlie’s cousin.…

    Romance Take Me Away…

So I finished writing Find Her, Keep Her and am on chapter 11 of the tightening. I’m scheduled with the editor on July 1st but I’m going to be officially finished by the middle of next week. There are sixteen chapters in all. I’m at the part of the novel where – 🙁 – is going to lead to :-). Anyway… There’s something  satisfying about reading/writing a good romance. And I’m not a romantic person for the most part. Actually – I kind of think “romantic” should be a male trait anyway – right???? They have to romance us, we don’t romance them… Anyway – so I’m writing this post…

Oh, Now I Know You Ms. Main Character…

Too bad I’m on page 107… I’m pretty sure I’m rightfully at the point in the first draft of the novel where I’m to ask myself  if I’ve effectively created a strong character, whom I’ve come to know by how she lives, acts and reacts?  Now floating in this headspace at the moment, my mind is returning to the beginning of the story and I’m asking myself how different is she on page 107 than she was on page, let’s say, 5? And how have I showed that transformation? And, have I actually shown it??? And do you want to know my answers? Okay–here’s the long of it…that’s not so…
